Evening News Ratings: Week of June 25
The evening newscasts got a boost last week with the news from the Supreme Court. NBC’s Brian Williams remains the most-watched evening news anchor, while CBS’s Scott Pelley showed the most improvement, +4% in Total Viewers vs. the same week last year.
ABC’s Diane Sawyer continues narrowing the gap with #1 “NBC Nightly News.” Season-to-date, the gap has been narrowed -6% in Total Viewers and -28% in A25-54 viewers vs. the same period last year.
The newscasts saw improvement from last week and compared to last year all three are up in Total Viewers, but down in younger viewers.
