Evening News Ratings: Week of June 4
Just as the cable news channels are seeing a lull in viewership, so too are the three evening newscasts. “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams,” ABC’s “World News with Diane Sawyer, “CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley” have all shed viewers from the same period in 2011.
NBC, which holds +830,000 viewer lead on ABC, is down -8% in total viewers and down -14% in younger viewers; “World News” is down -5% and down -11%; and CBS, which saw Scott Pelley take over as anchor at this time last years, is down -9% and -8%, respectively.
