Updated Wednesday at NoonET: ABC’s new average has been calculated.

NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams was the top-rated evening newscast last week, for the 35th consecutive time in Total Viewers (and 29th in the A25-54 demo).

NBC’s ratings are based on a three-day average due to the NHL Finals. ABC’s are based on a two-day average due to the NBA Finals and the exclusion of Friday’s ratings, since ABC has asked Nielsen to investigate the low numbers.

Nielsen reported ABC had 4,090,000 Total Viewers on Friday, a drop of more than three million from the season average.

All broadcasts grew week-to-week in Total Viewers (if ABC’s Friday is excluded [updated &mash; ABC did not grow week-to-week]), while just NBC grew in the demo.

Total Viewers: NBC: 8,270,000 / ABC: 6,990,000 / CBS: 5,400,000
