Evening News Ratings: Week of March 16

The NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams was the most-watched evening newscast last week in both Total Viewers and the A25-54 demo, but for the second week in a row, ABC World News cut the gap in both categories. ABC was the only network to grow in Total Viewers week-to-week, while all three networks declined in the demo.

It was the smallest difference between NBC and ABC since the week of December 22.

The CBS Evening News average is based on a three-day week (Monday-Wednesday) due to low coverage from NCAA basketball. On NBC, David Gregory filled-in on Wednesday and Thursday, and Natalie Morales anchored Friday.

Total Viewers: NBC: 8,600,000 / ABC: 7,910,000 / CBS: 6,080,000

25-54 demo: NBC: 2,630,000 / ABC: 2,360,000 / CBS: 1,880,000
