Evening News Ratings: Week of May 31
After a seeing a few weeks of viewership decreases, NBC and ABC grew in total viewers and in the demo last week.
With Brian Williams making his 15th trip to the Gulf Coast since Katrina, “NBC Nightly News” was most-watched and marked 80 weeks as the top newscast in the demo. “ABC World News” was second and expanded the gap with “CBS Evening News,” which was down week-to-week in both categories.
(Note: Due to the Memorial Day holiday and the NBA finals, ABC ratings are based on Tues, Wed, and Fri, while NBC and CBS were based on Tues-Fri.)
