Evening News Ratings: Week of Oct. 6

There wasn’t much movement week-to-week in the evening news ratings, but ABC World News’ slight gains in Total Viewers pushed it over the top for first place (by 40,000). NBC Nightly News finished first in the A25-54 demo by just 10,000.

Charles Gibson and ABC were on the bus, broadcasting from battleground states in the Midwest. Compared to last year, ABC grew in Total Viewers.

Total Viewers: ABC: 7,890,000 / NBC: 7,850,000 / CBS: 5,940,000

25-54 demo: NBC: 2,470,000 / ABC: 2,460,000 / CBS: 1,900,000

25-54 rating: NBC: 2.0/8 / ABC: 2.0/8 / CBS: 1.5/6
