Evening News Ratings: Week of Sept. 17

For the first time in 11 years ABC’s evening newscast has won the seasonal demo race. This year’s network evening news ‘season’ ran from Sept. 18, 2006 to Sept. 23, 2007. World News with Charles Gibson also won last week. But in the total viewer race it was much closer than usual. NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams came within 30,000 viewers.

Total viewers: ABC: 7,690,000 / NBC: 7,660,000 / CBS: 6,050,000

25-54 demo: ABC: 2,400,000 / NBC: 2,300,000 / CBS: 1,790,000

25-54 rating: ABC: 1.9/8 / NBC: 1.9/8 / CBS: 1.5/6
