F&F Leads The Early Show in Some Markets
Mekeisha Madden writes in The Detroit News about the FNC morning show, Fox & Friends, beating CBS’ The Early Show in the Detroit market in household rating. The cable program is also beating The Early Show in several large markets across the country, like Atlanta, Miami, Phoenix and Tampa.
The victory of The Early Show does not put F&F in third place, however, in Detroit. Madden points out that the leading morning show comes from the FOX affiliate station WJBK, which leads ABC’s Good Morning America and NBC’s Today show. Meanwhile, CBS is positioned at channel 62 on the dial in Detroit.
The column comes on the heels of another strong month for F&F during February.
“Shows like ‘Good Morning America’ and ‘The Early Show’ do a lot of scripted features. But we like to keep it loose and fly by the seat of our pants in the morning,” said co-anchor Steve Doocy in the column.
