“Fareed Zakaria GPS” celebrates its fifth birthday today. In the five years since his CNN show launched, Zakaria has interviewed almost 600 different guests from almost 60 countries and 35 heads of state (see highlights here).
“We’ve strived to bring a global perspective to the major issues and challenges of our times to viewers around the world. We’ve also tried to offer a window into the role of world’s most powerful nation, the United States, as the modern global landscape of power, finance, and security constantly changes,” Zakaria told TVNewser. “I’m really proud of the work that our team has done over the last five years – we look forward to many more.”
Tonight’s program (pictured here during the taping) features discussions on Syria, the state of the GOP and the current White House scandals.
