FNC Correspondent Jennifer Griffin’s ‘War on Cancer’

Fox News war correspondent Jennifer Griffin sat down with People magazine to talk about her war on cancer. She was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in September of last year, and chose to undergo a double mastectomy, because recurrences of the disease can be deadly.

Griffin is no stranger to dangerous situations. “I reported on the Intifada while I was pregnant, wearing a flak jacket, throwing up from morning sickness between takes,” she told People.

“Within 20 minutes [of the diagnosis] I was in reporter mode, calling experts,” Griffin said to People, “This was like covering a war, but inside my own body.”

The war correspondent announced that she was cancer free this past April; and, she was back reporting from Afghanistan in August.
