Fox News has reported last night and today on a $100,000 donation made by actor/comedian David Spade to his hometown of Phoenix's police department so the PD could buy new rifles.

This comes in response to a FOX Report story about the department's need for updated firearms. "Phoenix PD says after seeing the story he called them and said he wanted to give them some money to donate to their program," reported Adam Housley last night on The FOX Report.

Spade showed up in person to give the donation, but did not speak to the media, instead issuing this statement from his publicist: "These guys need to be able to do their jobs and I'm just happy I can help." Is there a "Just Shoot Me" reference to be made here? Please add yours in the comments.
