Ford: No Audio For NBC’s Special Report

What happened to the audio on NBC’s special report about Gerald Ford‘s death?

“I recorded Jay Leno last night and caught NBC’s first report,” an e-mailer says. “Indeed, the first thirty seconds or so were silent as the anchor spoke and images of Ford were displayed.”

In Philadelphia, “NBC broke into Leno with a fuzzy picture and no audio. I saw the banner telling of Ford’s death and switched to CNN,” another e-mailer says.

Other East Coast e-mailers say they experienced it too. (But another e-mailer says the network feeds to Boston and Providence were okay.)
