Former Comcast Anchor Loses Lawsuit

Nolan081610.jpgRemember Barry Nolan? He is the former anchor for Comcast-owned CN8 in Massachusetts. After protesting an award that was being given to Fox News host Bill O’Reilly, Nolan was fired.

He went on to sue Comcast, and cited evidence that suggested that O’Reilly or Fox News may have pressured Comcast into letting him go.

Today the Boston Herald reports that Nolan has lost his lawsuit against his former employer.

In a written decision yesterday, U.S. District Court Judge Rya Zobel said Nolan’s agreement with Comcast allowed the company to fire him “without notice, for any reason, or no reason at all.”

“Although one-sided, it is nonetheless valid,” Judge Zobel wrote.

Nolan says he will appeal the decision.
