New York magazine contributing editor Gabriel Sherman has signed a deal with Random House to write a bout Fox News Channel, called The Loudest Voice in the Room: An Inside Account on the Rise of Fox News.

The news was first reported by The Cutline’s Michael Calderone.

Sherman was the author of “Chasing Fox,” which ran in NY Mag last October. It is believed that Fox News CEO Roger Ailes will be a central figure in the book, which would make sense, because FNC is, in many respects, his baby.
