Fox News Profits Rise 30%; FNC Is “Carrying” News Corp’s Cable Division

fnc_logo.gifFox News Channel’s operating income soared 30% in the quarter ending June 30, “thanks to sharply higher advertising revenue,” Newsday says.

Yesterday News Corp. “posted a 67-percent increase in fourth-quarter profit, beating analysts’ forecasts,” according to Reuters.

The quarter was weak for Fox broadcast units, but “cable networks did far better,” Broadcasting & Cable says, adding that FNC “is carrying the division.” Related:
