The Daily Show took on the recent media uproar over Sen. John McCain's ad featuring Paris Hilton and Britney Spears last night, as well as Sen. Barack Obama's comments after.

"I believe by commenting on the perceived potential subtle racial messaging in the ad, you have taken what political scientists refer to as 'the bait,'" said host Jon Stewart. "And when you have taken the bait, the media goes fishing."
