Gibson’s Wife Says He Is A Night Person

Who took the time to count up the exact number of days Charles Gibson hosted Good Morning America? I hope it wasn’t some poor publicity intern. The number, by the way, is 4,538, and it’s in the lead of this AP story:

“After 4,538 ‘good mornings,’ Charles Gibson is ready to say ‘Good evening.’ The veteran ABC newsman toasted the end of his near 19-year tenure on ‘Good Morning America’ on Wednesday, surrounded by his real and television families. He’s now the anchor ABC’s ‘World News Tonight.’”

David Bauder talked to Gibson’s wife Arlene, who retired Friday as head of the Spence school in Manhattan: “Charles is a night person. That’s the strange thing about this job. I never see him in the morning — and that’s a good thing.”
