Glenn Beck’s Call for Chamber of Commerce Donations Nets $300,000
Fox News host Glenn Beck donated $10,000 to the Chamber of Commerce, according to U.S. News & World Report. But that’s not all: Beck asked his fans to do the same.
On his October 14 radio show, he said, “I would like to have this [be] the largest day of fund-raising for the Chamber of Commerce ever.”
The Chamber pulled in more than $312,000, the best one-day haul ever for the agency.
Chamber spokesman Tom Collamore said there were over 7,000 donations — an average of $44 each — which, at one point, crashed the Chamber’s internet server.
