‘GMA’ Skeds ‘Reality Week,’ Sends Anchors to Reality Shows

Next week ABC’s “Good Morning America” will present “Reality Week,” sending its anchors to appear on a number of reality shows.

Robin Roberts will guest on “The Great Food Truck Race,” on Food Network. Josh Elliott will compete on the ABC competition series “Wipeout.” Lara Spencer will get a makeover on VH1′s “Mob Wives.”

And then there is George Stephanopoulos, who will appear on History’s “Pawn Stars.” There was some confusion when “GMA” EP James Goldston told him about the plan, apparently caused by Goldston’s accent:

“I mean I know this is a new GMA but what is he talking about porn stars? How am I supposed to interview a president after being a porn star? I mean, I am the son of a priest.”

Sam Champion will also appear on a reality show, though which one is being kept under wraps for now.
