How Lori Rothman got from Plattsburgh to Wall Street

Lori Rothman, now eight months into her new gig at Fox Business Network is talking about where it all began.

In an interview with Reynolds Center, Rothman talks about her days in local news in markets including Plattsburgh, New York and Grand Junction, Colorado, and how she made the transition from reporting on fires and flooding, to business news.

“During my career in local news, I gravitated toward business and economic stories. I covered everything from tourism and logging in Juneau, Alaska, to unemployment and corporate development in Plattsburgh, New York,” she says.

In an interview with wowowow.com, Rothman talks about the big business story these days: “The most important story for consumers right now is the state of employment in the country. We need a healthy consumer to have a healthy economy and that can only happen if we see significant job growth.”
