Hurricane Dennis: The Difference Between CNN & FNC Is “Night & Day,” Klein Says

When I spoke to CNN/U.S. president Jon Klein this afternoon, I mentioned that I had been flipping back and forth between the hurricane coverage on CNN and Fox News.

“They’re just so far outclassed in an event like this,” he said, and news events like Hurricane Dennis demonstrate “vividly that they’re not a news organization. It is like night and day…They’re just not built to cover important news.”

> Plus: An e-mailer says: “I am a regular viewer of Fox News. However, I have to tell you CNN is beating the pants off the competition in their hurricane coverage. CNN IS what their slogan says — Your (My) Hurricane Headquarters.”
