IF CBS Writers Walk, Will Democratic Candidates Cross the Picket Line?

Couric_1120.jpgCBS News’ first debate of this election cycle is scheduled for Dec. 10. But if CBS News writers are striking by then, will the debate go on? Will Democratic Presidential candidates cross the picket lines and participate? The debate is being held in Los Angeles and will be moderated by Evening News anchor Katie Couric along with Face the Nation moderator Bob Schieffer.

With the writers’ strike looming, insiders tell me the planning is well underway for the night. TVNewser has learned the debate will most likely take place in The Price is Right studio. There had been a discussion about whether the debate would be held in front of a live audience. With a large number of big donors in L.A., it’s believed the DNC balked at the idea of not having an audience.
