It’s Official: Aaron Sorkin’s HBO Cable News Show To Be Called ‘The Newsroom’

HBO has confirmed what TVNewser first reported earlier this month: the highly-anticipated Aaron Sorkin series about cable news will be called “The Newsroom” when it debuts on HBO next year.

HBO released a video looking back at 2011 and previewing 2012, in which the first few frames from the program make an appearance (around 1:50 into the video):

“The Newsroom” follows “News Night” anchor Will McCallister (Jeff Daniels) and his team. We will have more on the series in the coming weeks.
