Jimmy Kimmel: ‘Is It Too Late To Call ‘Nightline’ And Get Them Back?’
ABC launched its new late night lineup last night with “Jimmy Kimmel Live” at 11:35et/10:35ct on most ABC stations followed by “Nightline.”
“I want to thank our network ABC for this vote of confidence,” said Kimmel, adding, “It was a big decision. It’s a risky decision. Some might even say it was a stupid decision. But I want them to know that I understand what’s at stake here, and I do not take this responsibility lightly.” He also praised “Nightline,” before showing a clip from “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.”
“Is it too late to call ‘Nightline’ and get them back?” he joked.
