Job Cuts: “The Painful Reality of This Economy”

Lester Holt, in for Brian Williams, writes about today’s November jobs report through a personal lens. On the Daily Nightly blog, Holt writes:

How many of the 533,000 Americans who lost their jobs last month do you personally know? I’m sure you can name several. As can I, including some who are coming to terms with the painful reality of this economy today. None of them, however is any different from the factory workers, car sales people, financial service workers, or the other 2 million people who have lost their jobs this year.
