As WebNewser reported yesterday, CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric appeared on FOX last night — in the American Idol crowd.

Thanks to our Twitter followers for pointing us to the Couric cut-away — cheering a fantastic performance of “Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” by Allison Iraheta. Couric tweeted while at the show: “Little stevie van zant is sitting in front of me with his trademark scarf. He’s great this is hilarious.”
