As the aftershocks continue and the damage reports come in from today’s earthquake in Northern Mexico, CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric Tweeted tonight that she is heading to Haiti.

Going to haiti to do pieces the situation there…will keep u posted via twitter!

That Tweet was sent just minutes after the Mexicali quake struck. Later Couric wrote:

Taking off..thank u all for updates…so far doesn’t appear to be a lot of damage. u will have to keep me posted while I am in the air!

But before she departed, Couric sent out one last Tweet, including a picture…

I guess it’s a tad impractical as a phone, but I can see the numbers without glasses.
