Katie Couric Honors Drew Brees at Sportsman of the Year Event

CBS Evening News Anchor Katie Couric introduced New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees last night at the Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year event in Manhattan. Brees was honored for taking his team, and his beleaguered city, to the Super Bowl. Couric:

“This night was about much more than football. It was a new beginning for a city that still desperately needed to a second chance — and in Drew Breesus, they saw the second coming. You gave a reason for all of us to believe. Very simply put, Drew — on and off the field — you kick ass.”
