Katrina: Shep Smith, Star Of The Storm

FNC star Shep Smith was the first anchor on the air from the French Quarter in New Orleans today. His coverage, via phone, from downtown continues to be compelling.

“We’re watching, and our cameraguy is out shooting, as the winds are really whipping through the center of New Orleans now,” he said at 8:45am. He is on a third floor balcony at the intersection of Bourbon Street and Bienville Avenue.
