Larry/Paris: High Number Of DVR Viewers

Nielsen distributes several versions of ratings: live viewership, live plus same day DVR viewership, and live plus three/seven day viewership.

The data shows that 124,000 viewers recorded the Larry King/Paris Hilton interview on a DVR and watched it between 9pm and 3am. (The show had 3,079,000 live viewers and 3,203,000 live + same day viewers.)

The high number of DVR watchers reflects the intense interest in the interview. The day before, only 28,000 people recorded King’s show and watched it within six hours…
