Last Week’s Evening News Ratings

NBC’s winning streak continues: The NBC Nightly News beat ABC’s World News Tonight by 220,000 viewers last week. The two evening news broadcasts tied in the 25-54 demographic, with a 2.2/9, but ABC had 30,000 more viewers in the demo.

“Nightly News has now placed first in total viewers for 55 straight weeks, the program’s best consecutive winning streak since at least 1987 (the start of people meters),” NBC notes. Here’s the week of July 18 in total viewers:

NBC: 8,199,000 / ABC: 7,981,000 / CBS: 6,647,000
