LeBron James in Matt Lauer’s ‘People of the Year’: ‘You can’t live your life on someone else’s path’

In Matt Lauer‘s “People of the Year” special, airing tomorrow on NBC at 9pmET, Lauer asked NBA star LeBron James about the message behind his new Nike commercial.

“You can’t live your life on someone else’s path,” the basketball player told Lauer, “Just can’t do it. You never accomplish what you wanna accomplish in life.”

LeBron is just one of Lauer’s “People of the Year,” which this year includes Chilean Miner rescuer Brandon Fisher, “Hero Dad” James Jones, Mosque developer Sharif el-Gamal, reality TV star Kim Kardashian, and musician Justin Timberlake.

And on this Thanksgiving’s primetime special, Susan Boyle will sing a special holiday tribute performance.
