Levinson Joining CBS News As Political Dir.

Update: 11:54am: TVNewser posted the rumors on Monday, and now it’s official: Molly Levinson is joining CBS News as political director, the network announced today. She starts Aug. 22. Here’s her bio, via CBS:

“Most recently, she served as Acting Political Director for CNN, where she oversaw the network’s political coverage, polling and political research programs (2006). Prior to that, Levinson served as Deputy Political Director and Deputy Political Editor for CNN’s Washington-based Political Unit (2004-06), during which time she helped to produce and shape editorial content for the network’s on-air and online coverage of the 2004 election and other political events.” She was previously a researcher and Aaron Brown‘s producer for NewsNight…
