Maddow: “I Have Tried To Not Be Like Other Things on Television”

maddow_1-8.bmpMSNBC’s Rachel Maddow appeared last night on “The Daily Show,” and Jon Stewart was very complimentary of her program — although not necessarily her network.

Using “The Munsters” as an analogy, he said: “Here’s what I think when I watch MSNBC — you’re Marilyn. But everyone else over there is fucking nuts. Now I’m not going to tell you who Herman Munster is, but I will tell you I believe Chris Matthews is the dragon who lives under the stairs.”

Maddow didn’t know how to respond. Later, she said, “I have tried to not be like other things on television. I think there’s a real homogenizing force in the production of TV.”

Click continued to see the clip, and find out who Maddow’s favorite debate partner Pat Buchanan is in “The Munsters” analogy…
