Man Kills Self When Police & Dateline Crew Come Knocking
A Texas man killed himself Sunday after being caught in a sting operation set up by Dateline NBC and Perverted Justice, the NYT reports.
Police were trying to arrest him “on charges of soliciting sex over the Internet from a person he thought was a 13-year-old boy.” He refused to open the door when officers arrived. “An NBC camera crew was outside the house,” but NBC News spokeswoman Allison Gollust said there’s “absolutely no evidence that would suggest that he was aware of us.” More…
