Mandragona, Kappler Depart NBC News
Sam Mandragona, Creative Director for NBC Artworks has left NBC Universal after more than two decades with the company. Mandragona became Executive Creative Director for NBC DesignWorks in 2000. Most recently he was responsible for Decision ’08 graphics and design including the virtual sets used on NBC and MSNBC. Mandragona, a 23-year NBC veteran, was the Creative Director for the launch of MSNBC in 1996.
Also departing NBC News, Cliff Kappler, who’s been with NBC for more than 40 years. Kappler, whose last day is tomorrow, is retiring from the company. Most recently Kappler has been with NBC News specials, but has worked on the Today show and in NBC’s London bureau.
