Mary Mapes Signs Book Deal To Tell “The Other Side Of The Story”

“Mary Mapes, the CBS television producer who was fired for her role in the network’s discredited report on President Bush’s military service, is writing her memoirs,” the AP reports. The book is tentatively titled “The Other Side of the Story,” and is expected to come out this fall.

> The book will “chronicle what really happened at CBS and reveal the corporate, political and ideological agendas that threaten the integrity of journalists and the news,” the publisher says.

> Gawker hears the deal was worth around $250,000. American Thinker says the price was in the “high six figures.”
