May Ratings: Weekend Today, CBS Sunday Morning Tops

NBC’s Weekend Today was the top Saturday morning show, while CBS Sunday Morning won on Sunday during the May sweep this year. Although in second place, Saturday’s Good Morning America saw its best ratings during a May sweep in the history of its broadcast in both Total Viewers and the A25-54 demo. It was also the only Saturday program to show double digit gains in the demo.

CBS Sunday Morning won again in both categories on Sunday. But Sunday Today increased its advantage over Sunday’s GMA in Total Viewers and in the demo, compared to May 2007.

Saturday:
• Total viewers:
NBC — 3,770,000 / ABC — 2,580,000 / CBS — 1,570,000

• A25-54 demo:
NBC — 1,510,000 / ABC — 1,160,000 / CBS — 660,000

Sunday:
• Total viewers:
CBS — 4,450,000 / NBC — 3,610,000 / ABC — 2,320,000

• A25-54 demo:
CBS — 1,710,000 / NBC — 1,480,000 / ABC — 960,000
