Michelle Gielan Departs CBS News
It’s the last day for Michelle Gielan at CBS News and as anchor of “CBS Morning News” and “Up to the Minute.”
As we reported earlier this spring, Gielan announced she would be leaving the network in the next few months “to pursue some exciting things.” No word on where she’s heading next.
In March, CBS News hired former-CNNer Betty Nguyen to take over “Morning News” as well as report for “The Early Show.” She’ll also anchor “Up to the Minute.” Nguyen starts in the “Morning News” anchor chair on Monday, though other anchors may fill-in intermittently during the summer.
