This morning, after a live shot on the health care reform plan, NBC/MSNBC’s Mike Viqueira was congratulated by Carlos Watson after he was honored with the Joan S. Barone Award for excellence in journalism at the RTCA dinner Friday night.

“One thing I neglected to do on Friday night is thank MSNBC. We rock,” said Viqueira.

The award is given in memory of the late Joan Barone, former executive producer of CBS News’ Face the Nation, and is presented for excellence in Washington, D.C.-based national affairs and public policy reporting.
