MSNBC’s Prime Change: Rita Unhappy?

Why didn’t MSNBC announce the primetime schedule changes until almost 6:30 p.m. on Thursday? Maybe it was because the network was trying to bury the news. Or maybe it was because of Rita Cosby.

“Rita went nuts when they told her,” according to a source. “She burned any remaining goodwill. That’s why there was such a delay. The staff (Live & Direct’s) was called in for a Noon meeting, which didn’t start until 6:30.” The source added: “How she didn’t see this coming is the big news…”
