MSNBC’s Tamron Hall To CNN? Not In The Near Future

The NY Post‘s Page Six, which has been mostly accurate with its Jeff Zucker/CNN predictions, reports today that Zucker is eyeing MSNBC anchor Tamron Hall for the morning slot at CNN.

NBC’s Tamron Hall is a favorite. “She was one of Jeff’s bright young things at NBC when he was at the network,” said a source.

A source in the agent community confirms that Zucker is fond of Hall, but they note that NBC News and MSNBC are fond of her too. More importantly, our source says, Hall has at least a year left on her contract with MSNBC, making any potential jump very difficult.

In other words, Hall could end up at CNN eventually, but it wont be happening for the morning show.

As Inside Cable News notes, the last time an MSNBC anchor had discussions with CNN with time on their contract, it didn’t end well.
