Murdoch Says CNBC Seems Negative; Fox Biz Will Be More “Business-Friendly”

murdochfeb8.jpgRupert Murdoch says CNBC tends to be negative toward business, and promises to make Fox Biz more friendly.

“We want to be more business-friendly,” he said at the Media Summit hosted by BusinessWeek magazine at the McGraw-Hill Building in New York, according to Multichannel News.

B&C reports: Murdoch said Fox Biz will be less interested in salacious stories. “They leap into every scandal,” he said. “There’s an atmosphere to [CNBC] that’s negative.”

More: “Saying he was keeping his cards close to his vest regarding the channel’s programming, he added, ‘Everything we do, CNBC immediately will copy.’”
