NBC News Adds Educational Initiatives VP

NBC News named Nicola Soares “to the newly-created position of Vice President Marketing, Educational Initiatives” yesterday.

NBC is “making significant investments in the educational community; finding new ways to make our materials — both historic and current — available to students to help them meet their learning needs,” CFO Adam Jones says.

Earlier this month, the NYT reported on the iCue, a new $10 million online venture “intended as a supplement to Advanced Placement high school courses in three subjects: American history, government and English.”
