NBC News Is “Blogging Baghdad,” Beginning Next Week

On Monday, NBC News will launch “Blogging Baghdad: The Untold Story.”

MSNBC.com says the blog “aims to provide a dynamic look at the story behind the story of covering the news in Iraq. Online entries – from text to video blogs – will detail the realities of daily life for ordinary Iraqis, American troops and the media living and working in a 24 hour war zone.

It will be led by NBC News correspondent Richard Engel. “On a day-to-day basis, there is so much news coming out of Baghdad and not all of it makes air,” he says. “Blogging is a great way to report anecdotes, impressions and experiences that might not develop into full blown stories but are nonetheless, terribly revealing about the situation in here in Iraq.”
