In a Parade magazine feature, Cindy Adams asks celebrities to share What I Did With My First Million — and to talk about "the moment they suddenly realized they'd made it".

Among the interviewees is one TV journo: NBC's Matt Lauer. "I never ever felt that I was really OK," he tells Adams. "I always worried that I'd be fired.

"Not until three years after I got the Today show did I finally treat myself. I found property in the Hamptons and slowly built a house.

"Even now I can hardly come to grips with the fact that maybe I'm finally permanently all right."
