NBC’s Brian Williams Snags John Boehner’s First Interview Since Becoming Speaker of the House

With the new year comes a new Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, John Boehner (R-OH).

“NBC Nightly News” anchor Brian Williams has secured the first interview with Boehner since assuming the role. Williams will speak to Boehner Thursday inside the Speaker’s ceremonial office in the Capitol Building.

Excerpts from the interview will appear on that evening’s “Nightly News,” with an extended interview to be posted on the program’s website.

ABC News and Fox Newshad the first interviews with Boehner following the midterm elections, with CBS’ “60 Minutes” airing its interviews a few days later.
