NBC’s George Lewis Reports on His Cancer Treatment

lewis_7-31.JPGLongtime NBC News Los Angeles-based correspondent George Lewis, recently diagnosed with prostate cancer, reported on his treatment yesterday on the Today show and Nightly News.

Lewis, on set with Brian Williams, was introduced by the anchor: “There are a few people who reported from as many places for NBC News as our own George Lewis. He’s among the heavy hitters on our roster. He’s a veteran who has seen it all from Vietnam to Venice, to Venice Beach, for that matter. He’s been around the world a time or two. Recently, George was handed a heck of a challenge in the form of prostate cancer.”

Lewis is keeping a “cancer diary,” on the Today show web site, as well as giving web only reports for Nightly.
