NBC’s ‘Today’ Clobbers ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’ 15-0 at Annual Softball Showdown

There is no sugarcoating it. ABC’s “Good Morning America” got walloped by NBC’s “Today” at the annual softball matchup in Central Park’s Great Lawn.

The sweltering heat (over 100 degrees Fahrenheit in Central Park) didn’t stop “Today” from clobbering the ball all over field four, beating “GMA” 15-0. The winning team is pictured right.

So who was the MVP? According to NBC correspondent Peter Alexander, Natalie Morales deserves the trophy after sliding home to avoid a tag:

“Final: @TodayShow 15, The Other Guys (read: @GMA) 0. First in the morning, first on the field. MVP: @NMoralesNBC”

Alexander hit a triple himself, while senior producer Marc Victor pitched a shutout.
