The ESPN “Monday Night Football” matchup between the New York Jets and New England Patriots was the top program on all of television for the evening. The game drew 16.5 million total viewers and an 11.6 household rating.
That is up from the season average for “MNF” so far, which is averaging a 10.4 household rating and 14.365 million total viewers.
The high ratings Monday are despite the fact that the game was a blowout, with the Patriots crushing the Jets 45-3 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough Massachusetts.
